The objectives of work package 7 are the following:
Ensure awareness raising for the project, profiling of the member regions and effective dissemination of the project activities and results;
Encourage active communication of the project’s outputs to defined target groups and stakeholders such as regional stakeholders, decision-makers, political representatives of local authorities, regional, national and European institutions, industry, research institutions, and other relevant actors and initiatives in order to promote awareness and exploit activities related to the project results;
Provide an accessible knowledge portfolio that will encourage learning and sustainability of the actions for future projects and actions e.g. the CoMMER;
Share the outputs of the project in an innovative and engaging way with a target audience not usually targeted by European projects such as citizens and educational institutions.
The increasing demand for metals used in the production of electric cars, such as tin and lithium, has led to a renewed interest in the deposits in the MIREU partner region Cornwall in the UK.
The PDAC 2019 convention was held in Toronto this March with over 25,800 attendees from 132 countries. MIREU was also present to inform the convention participants of our network of EU mining and metallurgy regions.
The Industrial modernisation S3P Mining industry and the ERRIN task force on raw materials invite you to an online roundtable discussion on the future of the EU mining regions collaboration. It will be an opportunity to learn more about the initiatives supporting the networking of mining regions.
