EURACTIV special report on critical raw materials in Europe

EURACTIV is running a special report on Europe's renewed drive for strategic autonomy in relation to critical raw materials. 

The report comes after the European Commission launched a fresh attempt at securing access to minerals including lithium and rare earth elements with the recent launch of the Action Plan on Critical Raw Materials and the European Raw Materials Alliance.

The report begins with an examination of how European policymakers are using the pandemic as a wake-up call to take action on the need for a European supply of critical raw materials in order to make the goals of the European Green Deal tangible.
