About Us

CCDR

The mission of the Commission for the Regional Coordination and Development of Alentejo is to ensure the coordination of various sectoral policies at regional level, as well as to implement environmental, spatial planning and city policies, and to provide technical support to local authorities and their associations at the level of their geographical area. CCDR Alentejo's mission is also to promote European Territorial Cooperation by fostering cross-border, transnational and inter-regional cooperation, as well as coordinating technical support for cooperation initiatives of interest to local players and actors. It also promotes the participation of the region in European and international spaces, disseminates opportunities for cooperation between regional actors and ensures regional participation in European fora of cross-border, transnational and interregional cooperation, as well as representation in the management and monitoring bodies of programs with regional incidence, oriented to the socioeconomic development of the Alentejo and other participating regions.
