With the EU Green New Deal, the consumption of mineral resources will increase significantly, as they are the material backbone of many green technologies. At the same time, increasing legal requirements, the need for risk mitigation and growing awareness are pushing for higher environmental and social standards, strongly influencing the way these minerals are sourced.
The conference will focus on the various aspects of implementing responsible sourcing from the business, policy and civil society perspectives, in particular the roles of business frontrunners and alliances, advocacy, investments, EU policy frameworks.
At the RE-SOURCING Opening Conference, we would like to invite you to engage in an open and comprehensive dialogue with representatives from all relevant stakeholder groups (industry, policy, CSOs and research) to discuss the way ahead for the responsible sourcing agenda. The conference will host about 200 participants from around Europe and the world and will offer an excellent opportunity to learn, exchange and network.
Registration is open here and you can learn more about the project here.
