The 3rd SLO workshop with the theme Ensuring SLO is Adaptive and Resilient will take place on5-6 June 2019 in Brussels, Belgium.

In this optional session, a brief keynote from the MIREU project presents the state of the art research on European ‘Social License to Operate’, highlighting SLO’s main drivers, several key findings, and the ongoing challenges of the SLO concept. After this introduction, a discussion will take place highlighting the link between the emerging circular economy in Europe and SLO. Finally, several emblematic case studies offer a ‘reality check’ and explore the way forward for SLO in Europe. Followed by a lively debate.
